Risky Records is a Sydney-based label with an Australian focus.
Risky's emphasis is on the development of new artists, with the label and its studio facility acting as a hothouse for undiscovered talent.
Founders Kris Gale and Stephen Rae use their experience in the entertainment industry, the business world and their professional relationships to connect their signings to the industry.

Risky's philosophy is based on the idea of being a business angel to the music world, lending its mentoring, expertise and production skills to industry newcomers.
"Our aim is to help artists who are growing," says Kris Gale. "We give the means to polish their work and then to get it heard by the right people."
Risky's creative director, Stephen Rae, takes a hands-on approach to the label's roster.
Stephen has a background in theatrical composition (including scores for television, film and stage) and is inspired by music across the centuries.
Early projects given the backing of Risky Records include Days Like Stars and talented singer/songwriters Olivia Eden and Lana De Angelis.

More recently, Risky has delved into kids music (Angela & Penny), dance culture (DJ Renae Stanton) and the world of the stage (Alan John).
